The English Bowls Umpires Association. Formed in 1976, the EBUA is the governing body of Umpires in England. The associations membership has grown to over 800 qualified members since that time. EBUA Umpires, with their distinctive maroon uniform, can be seen in action at all Lawn Bowls events, including Club finals, National Championships, International Matches and Commonwealth Games. Umpires are born from an intensive training and examination process and the desire to commit time and dedication to the sport.
